The oldest Law campus in Indonesia

The Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia

It was initially named Rechtshogeschool or Faculteit der Rechtsgeleerdheid and opened on October 28, 1924. The Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia (FHUI) is the oldest Law campus in Indonesia that has produced critical intellectual figures who founded the Indonesian nation.

The Central Library (Indonesian Perpustakaan Pusat) is the main library of the University of Indonesia in DepokIndonesia. The new library conceptually bridges the ancient knowledge and the contemporary knowledge in a form inspired by the ancient stone steles and light-play.

How To Get There

By Commuter Line (KRL):
  1. Take the KRL Commuter Line from a station in Jakarta, such as Jakarta Kota, Sudirman, or Manggarai.
  2. Head towards Depok or Bogor and alight at the Universitas Indonesia (UI) Station.
  3. From the UI Station, the Faculty of Law is a short walk or you can use campus shuttles or online ride-hailing services to reach your destination.
By Car or Taxi:
  • Use a navigation app to guide you. Take the Jagorawi Toll Road and follow signs to Depok, exiting at the Margonda Raya exit.
  • Follow Margonda Raya until you reach the University of Indonesia.
By Bus:
  • Take a TransJakarta bus to a terminal that connects with Depok buses, such as Lebak Bulus or Kampung Rambutan.
  • Transfer to a bus heading towards Depok and get off at a stop near the university.
