Towards 100 years of legal education in Indonesia, the reflection of academic discourse on law, justice as well as law school is becoming more urgently needed. In this regard, Law School is playing an important role to contribute in the realm of inevitable legal development within the Republic of Indonesia.

Towards 100 years of legal education in Indonesia, the reflection of academic discourse on law, justice as well as law school is becoming more urgently needed. In this regard, Law School is playing an important role to contribute in the realm of inevitable legal development within the Republic of Indonesia. In relation to this, as the oldest law school in Indonesia, Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia is organizing the 5th International Conference of Law and Governance in a Global Context (IcLave). With the theme of Law, Justice and the Law School towards 100 Years of Legal Education in Indonesia, the 5th IcLave will be held on 7-8 November 2023 in Labersa Resort, Toba District, North Sumatra.
This conference aims to contribute to the reflection on law and government by emphasizing the recent development, progress, achievement as well as challenges faced in research and studies in the legal sector. Inviting junior and senior academics, scholars researcher and/or practitioners from South East Asia and beyond to present their precious research findings, the 5th IcLave is being held in collaboration with Faculty of Law University of North Sumatra (“USU”), Faculty of Law Islamic University of North Sumatra (“UISU”), Faculty of Syariah and the Law Islamic State University of North Sumatra (“UINSU”), Faculty of Law of HKBP Nommensen University, and Faculty of Law Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra (“UMSU”).
